About me
My name is Lisa Molendini and I earned my first 200-hour Yoga Alliance registered yoga teacher certification in 2021, focused on power vinyasa yoga. In February of 2023, I completed another 200-hour, broader-based yoga teacher training through the InfinitYoga Training program presented by NearMe Yoga and Mrida Seva Yoga. I completed my 300-hour teacher training through BodSphere®, and carry the RYT 500®+ certification.
I was a cum laude graduate of Susquehanna University with a degree in communications (public relations emphasis), and minors in advertising and American history, and took my very first yoga class there in 2007. In addition to my teacher training certifications, I have completed continuing education hours in restorative yoga, teaching to those at the very beginning of their yoga journey, neurodiversity-informed mindfulness, yoga for addiction and disordered eating recovery, Qigong-inspired chair yoga, and more. I am also a certified meditation teacher and Usui Reiki practitioner. I strive to expand my knowledge to many various styles and techniques within the yoga world. Additionally, I am trained in providing “Yoga for All Abilities” classes for neurodiverse teens and adults, and teach “Movement, Music, and Mindfulness” classes specifically geared toward children and young teens.
I currently teach in-person group classes at numerous locations throughout Northeastern Pennsylvania, in addition to many special events, workshops, pop-up events, and online classes. I also get to share weekly yoga sessions with the amazing folks doing the hard work at a local addiction recovery center and served as specialized instructor providing free classes to the NEPA community through the Greater Wyoming Valley Area YMCA’s Wellbeing Initiative program via a grant from the Federal Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration.
I am proud to share that I have offered classes at the annual Northeastern Pennsylvania Yoga Festival, Bucks County Yoga Festival, the Northeast Pennsylvania Wild Women Festival, OhmFest Yoga Art and Music Festival in Dover, Delaware, Ramble Festival in Darlington, Maryland, and the inaugural Transcend Festival in Middlefield, Connecticut, plus many more. I also served in the role of workshop coordinator at Inclusion Festival 2023. The energy of festivals, along with the amazing people that this convergence of live music and art brings together make my heart so happy.
As someone who lives with the challenges of anxiety and late-realized ADHD every day, I truly do not know what I would do without this practice. It is my sincere hope that I can share the benefits and gifts of this practice with others who may also be feeling overwhelmed by life’s challenges. In addition to yoga, I love nature and being outdoors, all types of crafting, fussing over my pets, the Sunday crossword, traveling, and making everything into an adventure and/or history lesson.
